Hyatt Regency Indian Wells – Penthouse Suite

img_9577
Penthouse Suite

The renovated Penthouse Suite at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa is very subtle in nature. There have not been any major overhauls. The design remains largely the same.

Coffee Maker

Upon entering the room, there is little nook on the right where the coffee maker is located, along with 2 complimentary bottles of water, and sink.

There is small fridge beneath the coffee maker.

Next to the coffee nook, there is a half bathroom with a pedestal sink and toilet.

Living Room

Living Room

When walking straight after entering the room there is a living room with L-shaped sofa, coffee table and a small dining room table. Large window panes, along with a glass sliding glass door overlooks the golf course.

Bed

The bed sits behind a set of double doors. The king bed is soft and comfortable. There is ample walking space on both sides of the bed. Oddly, the desk sits to one side of bed.

img_9584
Desk

The desk is rather small, and has an uncomfortable plastic chair.

Night Stand

Ear Plugs

The night stand on the other side of the bed contains a set of earplugs, which is a nice amenity. Sadly, only one set of earplugs are provided. They are somewhat uncomfortable however.

Dresser/TV

There is a dresser near the bedroom door, on which the TV sits. The TV is on the smaller side for a suite, but does swivel to make viewing more comfortable from the bed.

Bathroom Sinks

The bathroom is rather large, and contain double sinks with plenty of counter space.

img_9589
Tub

The bathtub is deep, and complimentary bath salts are provided.

img_9590
Shower

There is a glass enclosed shower with a rainfall showerhead.

img_9591
Toilet

The toilet is lodged into a small place next to the shower.

Closet

Closet

The closet contains a luggage rack, safe, extra pillow, iron, ironing board, bathrobe and yoga mat.

img_9594
Balcony

There is a large balcony, which is accessible from the bedroom as well as the living room. There is a wide lounge chair, regular chair, chaise lounge and coffee table.

Regency Club

The Regency Club is normally closed during the summer. As a Hyatt Diamond member, I actually like this as I am given an extra 2,500 Hyatt Gold Passport points for the Regency Club being closed, and breakfast at Lantana.

Hy-dration Station

Hydration Station

There is also a “Hy-dration Station” located on this floor. A filtered water dispenser with both hot and cold water is a very nice touch. I was informed that there are several Hydration Stations throughout the resort. I think offering guests free water is a very nice touch, especially during the sweltering summer months. As hotels often charge $5+ for a bottle of water, this can save a lot of money during your stay.

Cheese Plate

An Cheese Plate amenity was provided on one occasion.

Fruit Plate

A fruit plate on another occasion.

Cookies

My favorite amenity was a plate of their great chocolate chip cookies, cashews and a couple of Diet Cokes.
