Madam Kwan’s is a small chain of Malaysian restaurants located in Malaysia and Singapore.
The one located at the Suria KLCC Mall is located on level 4. The restaurant has an open dining room facing the mall. The restaurant is fairly big, and turnover goes fairly quickly.

The Nasi Lemak (RM21.90) included chicken curry, which was tender but not very spicy; a hot chili sauce made with anchovies, which was not too hot, but there was a hint of fishiness; dried shrimp floss, which had a distinct “ocean’ quality; and a hard-boiled egg. The dish was good, and I thought the meal was worth the price given its mall location.

The Beef Rendang (RM18.90) is a beef curry dish, which is cooked slowly until the meat gets very tender. The beef was tender and full of flavor, and was a bit hotter than most that I have had, but not unpleasantly so. Like most portions of rending, this one was also on the smaller side.
I thought Madam Kwan’s served good food, at a very reasonable price, especially given that it is located in a mall where operating costs will be higher. I would not hesitate to eat at Madam Kwan’s again in the future.
