The Holiday Inn Brno is located approximately 10 minutes away from the bus terminal by taxi. Taxi’s are relatively cheap in Brno, as the ride was approximately $6. The nearest tram station is a good 5-10 minute walk so not convenient if having a lot of luggage.

The hotel is located next to the Exhibition Center. The hotel is in a rather secluded area, as there is not much in the way of restaurants or other businesses in the immediate area other than the Exhibition Center. There is a kart racing center across the street.
Upon entering the hotel, the lobby is open and has a spacious feel even though it is not very large.
Check-in was quick and easy. We were informed that the hotel does offer a complimentary shuttle into the City Centre.

Upon entering the room, the bathroom is located directly to the right.

The bathroom is somewhat small. There is a single sink with very limited counter space.

There is a shower/tub combo with the dreaded partial glass shower door. The bathtub was very narrow, and just standing in the tub was like performing a circus act. The thing I don’t like about these doors is that water tends to splash all over the place with most of it landing on the floor. In addition, the open shower lets all of the heat out so you end up taking a semi-cold shower. The towels were also paper thin and felt like sandpaper.

The toilet is wedged tightly between the shower and sink.

Directly across from the bathroom is the closet, which is fairly spacious. There are a couple of extra pillows, the safe, a pair of slippers and laundry bag.

Next to the closet is the coffee maker, ice bucket and glasses.

The beds were somewhat firm and uneven, and not the most comfortable bed that I have slept in.

Next to the far bed is a couple of chairs with a small table.

The desk is long with a good amount of working space. To the left of the desk is a luggage rack, while the TV sits to the right of the desk.

The complimentary shuttle is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The shuttle is usually prompt. Signs are posted at the entrance of the hotel, which is where the shuttle can be taken.

I was given a map of the pick-up area in the City Centre, but the map is somewhat difficult to decipher if not familiar with the area. The pick-up area is in front of Forman Beef and Beer restaurant.
I would recommend the Holiday Inn Brno if you needed to be next to the Exhibition Center, was staying there for a promotion or for a Points Break stay. Otherwise, there are hotels near the City Centre where there are a lot more restaurants, shopping and grocery stores.
